Yeovil pharmacist Sakib is honoured to help vaccinate the local community
Across Somerset pharmacists are working hard in nine pharmacies to give you your COVID-19 vaccinations. One of them is Sakib Riasat, lead pharmacist at the Pharmacy2U vaccination hub in the Morrison’s car park in Yeovil.
Sakib has been working at the site from January 2021 but comes from Keighley in Yorkshire. He came down to Somerset to help with the national vaccination effort.
He says: “I’ve been serving the public of Yeovil and the local district and must have vaccinated thousands of patients. It has been a privilege and an honour to serve the local community. The hard work has been instilled in me by my mother, who has been a long-serving midwife for 25 years. Her name is Nafisa and she raised me; I am here to carry on the work in Yeovil to serve the public and the NHS. Do get your vaccination guys, be safe, not sorry!”
We say thank you to Sakib and all his colleagues. If you are aged 21 or over, book your vaccination on the National Booking Service: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/
