Renewing a book loan

Renewing book loans

A book’s due date will be shown on a date stamped card inside the plastic pocket at the front of the book.

You will receive an email to the email account on your library record 3 days prior to the return date of each item you have on loan. You will also receive notification by email after the due date notifying you than your item will need renewing.

Locally held books

You may log into the library catalogue with your Library & Knowledge Services card number to see details of the books you have on loan at

If you still need items you have loaned from the library shelves at Musgrove or Cheddon Lodge you may make up to 3 renewals online, by telephone, e-mail or in person.

  • We will need to see any book that needs to be renewed further.
  • Books that have been reserved may not be renewed.

Self renewal

When logged in you will see details of any items you have on loan.

Follow the instructions on screen and make a note of the new return date. If your item has not renewed then contact the library

Inter Library loans
