Hearing aid support services for adults in Somerset

Improved access, greater choice, and the right support for your hearing aid needs.

We have improved how hearing aid repairs and maintenance services are delivered to provide better access and greater choice for people in Somerset.

Following a review of our joint sessions with RNID volunteers, Audiology and RNID volunteer support will now be provided separately. This means you can choose the support that best meets your needs.

Audiology hearing aid repair clinics

Our audiology team will provide dedicated hearing aid repair clinics at community hospital locations across Somerset.

These clinics offer:

  • full hearing aid repair services
  • expert advice from our audiology team
  • support with hearing aid issues that cannot be resolved through routine maintenance.

Audiology clinics are currently offered through a mixture of drop-in and booked appointments. Over the coming months, these services will move to a booking system, giving you greater flexibility to choose a convenient time and location for your appointment. Please check this page for updates.

RNID hearing aid support sessions

RNID volunteers will continue to provide community-based hearing aid support sessions at public venues across Somerset.

These drop-in sessions are ideal for simple hearing aid maintenance, including:

  • retubing
  • basic hearing aid checks and battery replacements
  • guidance on hearing aid care and maintenance.

No appointment is needed for RNID sessions, and they will continue to operate as drop-in services.
