Giving us your feedback

Please share your feedback on our services and help make a difference.

We want to hear about your experience of our services so that we can recognise the things that have gone well, can spread good practice, and make improvements where your experience has not been so positive.

Feedback from patients, relatives, carers and visitors is vital to help us improve. You can share your feedback by talking to members of staff who have cared for you, completing one of our surveys or telling your story through Patient Opinion.

Would you recommend our services to Friends and Family?

Use our Friends and Family Test (FFT) to tell us what you think of your care and treatment. The test asks you if you would recommend our services to your friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment. Your answer will help us to understand our patients needs and to improve our services.

You will be offered a Friends and Family Test questionnaire asking:

Thinking about your visit today overall, how was your experience of our service:

  • Very good
  • Good
  • Neither good nor poor
  • Poor
  • Very poor
  • Don’t know.

We will then ask you to explain your rating:

  • Please can you tell us why you gave your answer?
  • Please tell us about anything that we could have done better?

You can choose to answer the questions before you go home and hand it in to any of our staff or, if you prefer, you can post your answers to us.

Your answers are completely anonymous and will not be traced back to you. If you are unable to complete the questionnaire you can ask a friend, family member or carer to do it for you.

Care Opinion feedback

Care Opinion is the UKs leading, non-profit feedback platform for health services. It enables honest, meaningful, two-way conversations between patients and health professionals, with the ultimate aim of sharing stories to help improve services.

Any patient can share a story; be it positive or for improvement. And this can be done anonymously if you wish. Have a voice, say what was good or could have been better and make a difference. Just visit the Tell your story page and complete the online form.

The feedback you share will be sent to us so that we can respond to you through the Care Opinion website. When your story has a response from us, Care Opinion will let you know.

Sharing your story on Care Opinion allows others to learn from your experience and see what other patients are saying about us.
