NHS 1000 miles

The NHS is turning 75 this year. Why not mark the occasion in style and take part in the #NHS1000miles‬‬ challenge to raise funds for your local hospital?

What is NHS1000 miles and who can do it?

NHS1000 miles is open to everyone – from local communities through to NHS staff and volunteers. During 2023, people are asked to walk, run, swim or cycle (or a combination) the distance of 1,000 miles and raise funds for your local hospital. That’s an average of 2.74 miles per day.

Participants are encouraged to keep a record of their weekly miles and are invited to share their progress on Twitter on Sunday nights at 7.30pm using the hashtag #NHS1000miles.
