Inpatient antenatal and postnatal care is provided on our Freya Ward. There are three rooms with four beds and two side rooms.
You will be admitted here if you need additional pregnancy care because of problems, complications or if you require an induction of labour. Your care will be provided by a team of midwives, doctors and maternity support workers. You will also stay on Freya Ward if you are not yet fit or well enough to go home from labour ward following your baby’s birth, or if your baby/babies are admitted to our special care baby unit next door.
