Holford ward psychiatric intensive care unit provides psychiatric intensive inpatient care. We also have provision to accept patients from prison or other mental health services.
Holford ward provides assessment and intensive acute treatment for detained individuals in the most disturbed phase of their mental illness, whose capacity for self-control and associated risks cannot be therapeutically managed on a general open acute ward.
These services are accessed through the home treatment team and other inpatient wards.
