Montacute ward

Montacute ward is managed by two ward teams and the matron in Emelie James.

The ward specialises in vascular, colorectal, urology and general surgery. We specialise in preparing for you for this kind of surgery and then looking after you following your operation. We have a multi-disciplinary team including therapists to help you safely move about as soon as possible after surgery. We also support patients with ‘enhanced recovery’, which is designed to help you recover quicker and be discharged home sooner.

All our patients have modern rooms with plenty of natural light.

Visiting times

Visitors are welcome between 10:30am to 8pm – seven days a week. If you have relatives who wish to visit or stay outside of normal visiting times please discuss this with the nursing team.

Number of visitors to a bed

For the safety and comfort of all our patients we restrict visitors to 2 at a time, but do ask the nursing team if more visitors need to come in.
