Vaccinations in pregnancy

Vaccinations available

During pregnancy, you are eligible for free, routine vaccinations to protect you, your pregnancy and your newborn baby from the complications of infection:

Whooping cough (Pertussis) vaccine

Given all year round ideally around 20 weeks but can be given from 16 to 32 weeks. If for any reason you miss having it by 32 weeks you can have it up to birth.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine

Given all year round ideally around 28 weeks but can be given until 36 weeks. If for any reason you miss having it by 36 weeks you can have it up until birth.

Flu (influenza) vaccine

Given between September to March, at any stage of pregnancy.

COVID-19 vaccine

Given between October to January, at any stage of pregnancy.

Musgrove Park Hospital, Antenatal clinic

Every Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Yeovil District Hospital, Antenatal clinic

Every Monday and Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Every first Saturday of the month 8:30am to 1:30pm

Bridgwater Hospital, Mary Stanley unit

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Every last Wednesday of the month, 9am to 5:30pm

West Mendip Hospital, outpatients

Every last Friday of the month, 12:30pm to to 5:30pm

Every first Wednesday of the month, 10am to 6pm
