Alison has been a full-time artist for the last 20 years, investigating, recording, collecting and archiving the landscape of her local Somerset countryside.
She paints in acrylics, oils and digitally using an iPad, and enjoys puzzling over landscape relics of the past and how landscapes are transformed by the processes of time.
She is a studio holder and founder member of Contains Art located at the iconic East Quay building in Watchet, and also a member of Hatch art collective and Somerset Art Works.
Her latest work is focused on the West Somerset Coastal margins, their connectivity and environmental impact. Art for Life are pleased to showcase here new paintings made specifically for this exhibition as part of Alison’s commission to create new artworks for the Day Surgery Unit at Yeovil District Hospital, as well as workshops for our staff Wellbeing Engagement Programme.
