Ward

Portman ward

Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton

On Portman ward we treat patients with breathing problems or lung conditions. If you are admitted to Portman, you will have come from Coleridge ward or the acute medical unit because your condition is under more control and you are getting ready to be discharged. The sorts of conditions we treat here are mild asthma, stable COPD (chronic inflammatory lung disease), pneumonia, and other lung conditions that can be treated out of hospital.

Visiting Times: Visitors are welcome between 10am to 9pm – seven days a week. If you have relatives who wish to visit or stay outside of normal visiting times please discuss this with the nursing team.

Number of visitors to a bed: For the safety and comfort of all our patients we restrict visitors to 2 at a time, but do ask the nursing team if more visitors need to come in.
