Urology

Urology is a surgical speciality, covering the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and male reproductive organs.

We treat many urological cancers, kidney stones, bladder symptoms, erectile dysfunction and incontinence.

We provide inpatient care, and day care routine and emergency care at both Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil Hospital. We also offer outpatient appointments at both sites, as well as locations in Chard, Bridgwater, Minehead, Williton, Wellington, West Mendip, South Petherton, Crewkerne and Sherborne.

We treat all urological conditions, but sometimes it may be necessary to arrange specialist treatment in other hospitals. We work closely with the regional cancer units for your care.

Common conditions we help treat include enlargement of the prostate, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, penile cancer, testis cancer, erectile dysfunction (ED), over-active bladder, pelvic ureteric junction (PUJ) obstruction and urinary tract stones.
