Before your appointment
Please ensure you have read through the leaflet that came with your appointment letter (Video consultation – advice for patients) and that you have a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer with a camera and microphone charged and ready to use for your appointment.
How to join
In most cases, when we book your video appointment you will receive a text message from SomersetFT with the time and date of your appointment.
If you have received one of these messages, then you will also receive a second message with a direct web link to use for your appointment. This second message will be sent the day before your video appointment, so that it is easy to find in your recent messages, and the link provided will take you straight into the correct waiting area.
10 to 15 minutes before your appointment is due to begin, click the link in your text message, and then follow the on-screen instructions
What if I have not had a text?
If we didn’t have your mobile phone number on record, or if your service is not yet set up to send appointment links by text message, then you can still join by finding the link to your service’s waiting area.
Please choose from Childrens, Community, Mental Health, Musgrove Park (Taunton), or Yeovil Hospital from the tiles below, then select the waiting area that relates to the service name for your appointment. If you are not sure of the name of your service, check your appointment letter as it should be on there.
