This exhibition is part of a photographic collaboration which explores the beauty of the everyday. It is an evolving project that has helped its members creatively through times of stress and illness to support their own growth and wellbeing. Imelda Hughes and Lindsey Chambers, designers and colleagues in the mutual love of colour and purposeful seeing, began working together creatively in 2001, resulting in the photographic exhibition “Conversation” at the White Space Gallery in Taunton.
Over the last three years they have invited professional and amateur artists and photographers to respond to a word or title chosen for their inspiration. Over six weeks each contributor has produced a series of six smart phone images to print and share.
Twenty-two of these projects have been completed so far. The artworks on display here have been selected from a previous exhibition at The Musgrove Gallery at Musgrove Park Hospital, and showcase two of the submissions that respond to the words ‘blue’ and ‘dots’.
30% of all sales from this exhibition are donated to Art for Life to support further projects across the Trust. Another way to support Art for Life is through a donation to the Somerset NHS Charity
