Make a difference by sharing your experiences with us
Your views and experiences can really make a difference, helping to improve maternity and neonatal care in Somerset.
We want to listen to your experiences of our care so that we can recognise the things that have gone well, can spread good practice, but also make improvements where your experience has not been so positive.
Feedback from patients, relatives, carers and visitors is vital to help us improve. You can share your feedback in three ways:
- By talking to members of staff who have cared for you
- By completing our Friends and Family feedback form where you can rate your care
- Or by telling your story through our Care Opinion form – please use this for detailed information about your experience.
Friends and Family feedback
Your answers are completely anonymous and will not be traced back to you. If you are unable to complete the questionnaire you can ask a friend, family member or carer to do it for you.
Care opinion
Through this online form, you can share a story; the good and the bad, so we can learn and improve. This can be done anonymously, or you can share your name.
This feedback comes directly to us, and we will respond to you via the platform.
Working with Somerset Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP)
Our maternity team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust works very closely with Somerset Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP), an initiative that came from the recommendations of Better Births. The aim of the MNVP is to ensure that the voices of people who have used or are using the maternity services in Somerset are heard.
Working in partnership with MNVP, alongside feedback we receive directly, we are able to ensure your opinions are at the heart of shaping local services, helping us to improve maternity and neonatal services in Somerset
Find out more about the MNVP on their webpage Somerset Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership.
