Joining the Somerset Covid-19 Vaccination Programme

The release of a Covid vaccination is highly anticipated. When available, it will be our best defence against the virus alongside effective social distancing, wearing a mask and washing your hands

With clinical trials progressing well, we are preparing a vaccination programme for Somerset.  We  are calling on the people of Somerset and surrounding areas to join the county’s vaccination programme.

We offering a range of positions across the county on either a paid or voluntary basis, dependent on the role. We are proud to support flexible working and will endeavour to accommodate the hours you can give to the programme, either on a full/part-time or flexible basis.  If you would like to apply for a role please access the relevant link below and fill in an application form. At the same time we are calling for expressions of interest from people to who have time and energy to commit.

If you work for the NHS, please  ensure you speak with your manager before you  submit your expression of interest.

The following positions cover the standard roles on offer but we encourage everyone that has the time and energy to commit to express an interest:

Band 3 HCAs Responsible for sanitisation of the vaccination areas, infection control and to support the vaccination process – click to view jobs.

Band 3 Admin Support responsible for patient record keeping and recording vaccination data.

Band 2 Front of House Staff Responsible for answering patient queries and address any concerns.

Voluntary Marshall Responsible for patient flow management and other reasonable activities.

Band 5 Registered Nurses for a variety of roles to include clinical assessment, vaccination draw up, and vaccination delivery – click to view jobs.

Band 6 Clinical Supervisor to act as an escalation point for clinical assessment and provide supervision of the activity and staff within the vaccination areas – click to view jobs.
