Car parking

Free and readily available for all visitors.

Visiting times

We offer open visiting times, but please note that therapy sessions must take priority. In some cases, it may be beneficial for a family member or friend to join a therapy session, but each case is individual and the specialist multi-disciplinary team will advise on each case.

We ask all visitors to leave the dining room during mealtimes. This ensures we can offer appropriate support to patients who need assistance with eating and drinking.

What to bring

Patients will need everyday comfortable, practical clothing and sensible, supportive footwear. They will also need all toiletries for personal washing and grooming. Each room has a free-to-view television.

You are welcome to bring electrical items with you. For safety reasons, electrical items brought in from home will need to be checked before use (this is known as Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)).

Please keep any personal electrical items in your room. You are responsible for these items during your stay.

Laundry

Please note we are unable to provide a laundry service on site. In most cases, relatives would be expected to manage a patient’s laundry during their admission.

Visitor facilities

We can offer hot drinks for visitors (payable via a cash box) and there is a small supermarket nearby for any other requirements.

Smoking

The trust has a smokefree policy, aiming to protect and improve the health and wellbeing of all patients, visitors, colleagues, and contractors on our sites. This means that smoking is banned in all areas, including all buildings, doorways, grounds, and car parks.

Alcohol

Alcohol is strictly prohibited on hospital wards for patient and staff safety.

Please do not bring or drink alcohol on the ward.
