Alison has been a full-time artist for the last 20 years. As an artist she tends to investigate the landscape where she is based and enjoys recording, collecting and archiving what she finds there. She is interested in exploring the environment around her – puzzling over relics of the past and how things are transformed by the processes of time. Her current work reflects her thinking about how all things are connected and cannot escape ideas of climate change and the balance of our planet. Her latest work is focused on the West Somerset Coastal margins.
“I’m predominantly a painter in acrylic but also enjoy painting digitally using an iPad. I am a studio holder and founder member of Contains Art located at the iconic East Quay building in Watchet. I am also a member of Hatch Art Collective and Somerset Art Works.”
