Art for Life
In the artist’s own words:
“I began painting cows over 20 years ago, after studying for an Art Foundation at Bath Spa University. One cow led me to paint another, and I never stopped. I live near Crewkerne, surrounded by many willing bovine models. Using acrylic paint, my focus is on capturing the distinct personalities of these animals, through their expressive eyes and soft noses.
As a former doctor and now mindfulness teacher, I know the importance of pausing, noticing beauty, and finding small moments of joy – something I hope my paintings offer. Exhibiting in Musgrove Park Hospital feels deeply meaningful to me. I worked here, my children were born here, and I’m honoured to bring a bit of colour and calm into a place that matters so much. If my cows make you smile, they’ve done their job”.
