Visiting times

We offer open visiting times, but please note that therapy sessions must take priority.   In some cases it may be beneficial to have a family member join a therapy session but each case is individual and the specialist multi disciplinary team will advise on each case.  We ask that family members vacate the day room during meal times so that patients can be supported appropriately.

What to bring

Patients will need everyday comfortable, practical clothing and sensible, supportive footwear. They will also need all toiletries for personal washing and grooming.   Each room has a free- to-view television.   Patients are welcome to bring small electronic items and photographs of family and friends to personalise their room and make their stay more comfortable.

Laundry

Please note we are unable to provide a laundry service on site.  In most cases, relatives would be expected to manage a patient’s laundry during her/his admission.

Visitor facilities

We can offer hot drinks for visitors (payable via a cash box) and there is a small supermarket nearby for any other requirements.

Alcohol

Alcohol has a detrimental effect following brain injury and is therefore not allowed in the centre.

Smoking

We are a non-smoking site.
