Getting to know your Baby

The early relationship you have with your baby is important. How you meet their needs and care for them, shapes how their brain develops.

When you are pregnant, you can bond with your baby even before they are born. Here are some easy ways to feel close to your baby during pregnancy.

  • Talking or singing to your baby, and let your family do the same
  • Gently touch your belly
  • Respond to baby’s kicks
  • Having a bath
  • Trying relaxation or pregnancy yoga
  • Playing music to your baby
  • Reading stories to your baby
