The following chart will give you a good guideline of when it is appropriate to call. However, this is a guideline and not a definitive list, so if in any doubt whatsoever please do not hesitate in contacting the Cancer Helpline.
The helpline is manned from 9am -5pm by a dedicated team of Clinical Nurse Specialists.
If you have an emergency outside of these hours your call will be put through to the respective Haematology/Oncology ward where you will be able to speak to one of the Cancer Nursing Team.
