If you are 65 years or older, frail and need care in hospital, you can be cared for on Wordsworth ward. We specialise in caring for patients with dementia and delirium, including those caused by underlying infection. We have our own occupational therapists and physiotherapists to help with your recovery. We also have an activity co-coordinator who find out what matters to you, your background, hobbies and interests so you can keep doing the things you enjoy. We can also organise visits to the onsite cafes and shops and take you for a walk in the grounds for some fresh air and a change of scenery.
Visiting Times: Visitors are welcome between 10am to 9pm – seven days a week. If you have relatives who wish to visit or stay outside of normal visiting times please discuss this with the nursing team.
Number of visitors to a bed: For the safety and comfort of all our patients we restrict visitors to 2 at a time, but do ask the nursing team if more visitors need to come in.
