We recognise the important role you play in supporting your relatives or friends through common mental health problems; and the impact caring for someone with a long term condition can have on your own health and wellbeing.
We welcome referrals from all age groups however, due to the latest research we would be very keen to encourage over 65’s to access our service. We know they respond particularly well to our treatments with a high chance of recovery and we also know that contrary to commonly held assumptions depression, illness, isolation, loneliness and pain is not something older people have to expect and tolerate.
View the latest videos, podcasts and courses available with NHS Somerset talking therapies service for online support and advice about the problems we treat, as well as the related treatments we provide.
Anxiety and depression are often lonely experiences which isolate us from other people. Talking Therapies offers treatment via courses and webinars (ie. online courses) when your initial assessment suggests this may be the best way to help.
